It’s been one hell of a ride…

It’s been an interesting Spring, as depicted by the USGS chart below.  The West Branch of the Delaware started the early fishing season with low flows and some very warm weather.  And then the rains came.  The Cannonsville Reservoir, which feeds this fantastic tailwater fishery with ice-cold bottom water, has been over 100% full and spilling over, creating unwadeable, and in some cases unfishable conditions.  The last 2 days have brought more rain.  The only silver lining is the fact that I hope to be flyfishing the salt over the July 4th holidays.  Tight lines…It's been one Hell of a ride...
